Green Acres, Inc. has an open hill and not tubing lanes and that the snow tubes all end up in a common run-out area at various speeds and it is my responsibility to try to avoid hitting another snow tuber and it is my responsibility to try to avoid being hit by another snow tuber, but that not withstanding these efforts by other snow tubers and myself, there is a risk of collisions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE SNOWTUBING AT GREEN ACRES?

Release Waiver

Green Acres requires everyone that participates in snow tubing to read and sign a waiver.  The waiver can be printed from our website to have ready in advance or you may also receive the waiver in person upon arrival.  One waiver is needed for each participant separately and it must be signed by the individual tubing as well by a parent/guardian if under the age of 18. (Example: 3 people, 3 waivers needed)

Ticket Purchase

Tickets can be purchased a half hour before session,  payment is made at that time, release waivers are collected and tickets issued. Payment can be made by Discover, Visa or MasterCard. No American Express or personal checks. There is no ATM at our facility. Tickets are first come, first serve basis. It is not uncommon for our sessions to sell out.

Get Ready for a Fun Adventure

Remember to dress yourself and/or child in warm clothing, preferably waterproof. Winter footwear is recommended. (You may not wear ski boots.) Helmets are not required; participants are more than welcome to use one. Green Acres does not have helmets for rental.  Our staff will assist you at the start of your session when your ticket color is allowed up the tow rope. Only Tubes provided by Green Acres are allowed. Relax in our lodge and warm up.

Safety First

The sport of snow-tubing involves many RISKS, DANGERS, and HAZARDS that may cause serious personal injury or death and injuries are a common and ordinary occurrence in this sport. Helmets designed for RECREATIONAL SNOW SPORTS use may help reduce the risk of some types of injuries to the user at slower speeds and serious injury or death can result from both low and high energy impacts, even when a helmet is worn.

Green Acres enforces the following snow tubing rules for your safety.

  • One person per tube, and one tuber per person.  No double riding.

  • All long hair, ponytails & braids must be tied up and tucked in.

  • VERY IMPORTANT, when you reach the bottom of the hill, get up, move away quickly and always watch for other tubers coming down the hill when walking to the tow rope.

  • No kicking or throwing tubes at other tubers and no kneeling or standing on tubes.

  • No jumping over tubers coming down the hill.

  • Keep distances of 10-15 feet between tubers going up the towrope so you have enough time to get off at the top of the hill.

  • DO NOT STAND at the bottom of the hill to take pictures or videos.

All rules and regulations apply and are subject to changes anytime without notice.
